The Sweet Life
Italians embrace la dolce vita, the sweet life, filling every day with laughter, rest, food, wine, and family. Here in North America, we have a tendency to overschedule, overextend and overspend until we are blinded by stress. Although stress is a normal part of life, it can lead to dangerous health issues if not handled properly. So while practical constraints might prevent you from living la dolce vita to the fullest, consider the mentality and some of the suggestions from my recent Your Home and Lifestyle article for living the sweet life more stress free.
For me, I’ve discovered that getting enough sleep is vital. It’s a known fact that you cannot “catch up” on your sleep that you’ve lost during the week. Getting enough sleep is essential to effectively combat stress and ward off the health issues that come when we don’t get enough.
